John is semi-retired and is now living on the family farm in Acushnet, MA. with his wife, Candida. They have four daughters and three grandchildren. He is now enjoying a hobby acquired during his high school years, raising various kinds of fruit trees. After enjoying numerable positions in local and state governments, ranging from Police Officer, School Teacher, School Administrator, State Manager, and being an innovator in the delivery of social services. John retired in April, 2004 as the State Director, Contracts Unit, Department of Transitional Assistance. He is presently a part-time consultant to the Commonwealth on housing issues and is a member of the Executive Committee of the State Democratic Party.
